For Your health
If you feel ill in any way, please worship online at 9:30 a.m.
As you no doubt know, the CDC released new guidance on Tuesday, July 27, recommending that fully vaccinated people wear masks in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission of COVID-19. Grayson County is an area of high risk.
The CDC recommendation that unvaccinated people wear masks, was, of course, never dropped.
LOFC is guided by the CDC, and our Board of Directors therefore requests that worshipers, vaccinated or not, wear masks in the sanctuary until this recommendation changes. As in the past, it is up to the individual worshiper whether he or she will honor this request.
Family tables are available during worship so parents, grandparents, and kids can sit together and keep their hands busy with crafts and other activities.
WAYS WE ARE BEING THE CHURCH
Meals on Wheels Texoma needs volunteers to deliver meals to homebound clients, mostly older adults. Various routes are available every day of the week, and MOW is happy to accommodate any availability you have. Meals are delivered 10:30am - 1:00pm, Monday - Friday. Most drivers help one day a week, but you may volunteer as often as you like, from once a day to once a month. For info, call Tawnee at LOFC, 903.821.4505 or Miranda at MOW, 903-892-3733.
Leap of Faith Church is committed to providing you with true sanctuary:

Several ways to give at Leap of Faith
"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Leap of Faith Staff
Leap of Faith Church was formed in April 2016 as a group of friends and neighbors gathered around the table in Gregg and Virgie Holbrook’s farmhouse kitchen to share their hope for a worship community that would be welcoming to all people. The hope quickly became reality, and after worshiping for several weeks at the Holbrook house, LOFC moved first to the Pottsboro Public Library and then, in October 2016, to the Pottsboro Middle School cafeteria.
As the church added ministries for children and classes for teens and adults as well as fellowship opportunities for all, it expanded into the Pottsboro Middle School gym, where it developed the unique and noteworthy Leap of Faith Band, offering the church worship music in a variety of styles including bluegrass, folk, rock, disco, and blues as well as more traditional and familiar hymns. The professional musicians of the band are often joined by members of the Leap of Faith Music Collective.
In September 2019, LOFC moved into the building it now occupies at 5615 N. FM 1417 in Sherman, which gives the church a home of its own with doors that open to provide hospitality to all.
